Day 25 – Enjoying Diners and Museums on a rainy Sunday

Our Sunday started off early and active. A few of us decided to go for a morning run before the city got too busy. The weather was perfect for it, cool and sunny, and running through the quiet streets of New York felt amazing. By the time we got back, we were already in a great mood and ready for the day ahead. After freshening up, we headed to Soho Diner for brunch. The place had that cozy retro atmosphere and it was a great reward after our run. It was relaxed and everyone was happy with their orders.
Our next stop was the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, which turned out to be a real highlight. Walking along the massive aircraft carrier, exploring the submarine, and seeing the Space Shuttle Enterprise up close was incredibly impressive. In the evening, we met up again for dinner at Ruby’s Diner, for which it’s recommended to have a reservation. The food was great, and by now, every meal together feels like eating with family as there are always conversations going on and there’s just a comfortable atmosphere.
To end the day, we headed home and decided to take it easy. We ate some of the cinnamon rolls which Lara baked for us and they were absolutely delicious. It was a great Sunday, we started active, got culturally inspired, and ended up cozy. A day that showed how balanced and connected we’ve all become during our time in New York.
