Day 29 – Goodbye New York

Nov 13, 2025

Our last day came faster than any of us expected. After four unforgettable weeks, it was time to pack up, clean the apartment, and get ready to head home. The morning started with something special: breakfast all together at a cozy café nearby. Sitting there with our coffees and bagels, we talked, laughed, and looked back on everything we had experienced. It felt like the perfect way to start our final day — calm, warm, and full of memories.

After breakfast, we headed back to the apartment to finish packing and clean up. The sound of zipping suitcases and music in the background filled the rooms one last time. It felt strange to see the place slowly empty out after being so full of life for the past month — full of laughter, teamwork, and late-night talks.

When everything was ready, we took a few last photos together before leaving. On the way to the airport, the city passed by one last time — the yellow cabs, the busy streets, and the skyline that had become so familiar. We couldn’t help but share our favorite memories: from Times Square and SoHo to our visits at UBS, Google, and Citi, and of course, all the moments spent working on our projects and exploring the city together.

At the airport, the atmosphere was a mix of tiredness and nostalgia. We were all proud — proud of what we learned, the challenges we overcame, and how much we grew during these weeks.

As the plane took off and New York disappeared beneath the clouds, it didn’t really feel like a goodbye. It felt more like “see you soon.” Because once you’ve lived and worked in New York, a part of the city always stays with you.
