Day 4 – Exploring Manhattan and the Bridges

Oct 19, 2025

After a few busy days of exploring, day 4 turned out to be one of the most fun and active days of our New York stage so far. We met up with Philip, our supervisor, around 9 AM at our place and headed to Manhattan together. Our first stop was the Grand Bazaar, a lively market full of vintage clothes, jewelry, and all kinds of cool collectibles. We spent quite some time wandering around, and checking out the unique pieces. Some of us even found a few treasures to take home.

Next, we visited the World Trade Center and 9/11 Memorial. The atmosphere was powerful and reflective. The calm water and endless list of names spoke volumes about the city’s history and resilience.

Afterwards, we grabbed some burgers at Shake Shack. The weather was sunny, warm, and just right for a full day outdoors, so we decided to keep exploring. We walked a lot that day, making our way across both the Manhattan Bridge and the Brooklyn Bridge. The views were absolutely stunning, seeing the skyline and the river from up there felt surreal, and we took plenty of photos along the way. We walked on the Brooklyn Bridge and enjoyed some stunning views of the skyscrapers that were literally scraping the clouds.

Even with all the walking, the mood stayed high. It was one of those days where you could feel the good group dynamic, everyone was relaxed, open, and having a great time.

To end the day, we had dinner at a BBQ place called Dinosaur, which turned out to be amazing. The food was delicious, and it felt great to sit down after walking so much.

It was one of those days that perfectly captured what this trip is all about, exploring New York, spending time together, and making memories we’ll never forget.
