Our Sunday in New York was all about getting culturally active and soaking up everything the city has to offer beyond the busy streets and skyscrapers. We started the day with a visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the most famous museums in the world. Just walking up those iconic steps felt like something out of a movie. Inside, we wandered through halls filled with stunning Egyptian sculptures and paintings. Everyone found something that caught their interest, from Egyptian mummies to old furniture from American houses. It was impressive how much history and creativity are packed into one building.
After grabbing a quick lunch nearby, we made our way to the American Museum of Natural History. The contrast between the two museums was amazing. After exploring art and culture in the morning, we now dove into science and nature in the afternoon. The massive dinosaur skeletons were definitely a highlight, and the different floors representing various mammals and populations, like the Aztecs, were really impressive. We learned a lot, laughed a lot, and it was fun to see everyone’s different interests come to life.
By the time we left, we had walked quite a bit again, but the day felt incredibly fulfilling. It wasn’t just about seeing museums. It was about sharing those experiences together. We had great conversations, joked around, and appreciated the chance to slow down and take everything in.
In the evening, we headed back to our apartment to relax. We put on some music and played card games, the perfect way to wind down after a full day of exploring. Just laughter, good vibes, and the feeling that we’re really growing closer as a group.
